Emil Hazarian has fifty years of experience in Metrology, Quality Assurance, Standardization, Engineering, and Manufacturing upper management, in national, regional, and international metrology organizations, national primary laboratories and leading manufacturing companies. He possesses domestic and international experience in laboratory accreditation, conformance with ISO 9001, ISO 17025, ANSI/NCSL Z540-1, ANSI/NCSLI Z540.3 standards, inception of quality assurance concepts including TQM, Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma for mature industry. He was tasked by the US Department of Commerce as Advisor in Quality Management, Standardization and Metrology for Europe, Romania.
Mr. Hazarian worked as a consultant with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), Southern California Edison and other large companies.
Mr. Hazarian is currently the Quality Assurance Manager for Wilmington Instrument Co.
Until recently Mr. Hazarian fulfilled his assignment at NSWC, US Navy in Corona, California, as the Metrology Engineering Laboratory Manager.
Before he managed the Los Angeles County Weights & Measures Laboratory for a period of 19 years. Previously, he worked for the National Institute of Metrology, Bucharest, Romania, with R&D responsibilities
In 1997, he began teaching at California State University Dominguez Hills in the MS/BS Quality Assurance program. Professor E. Hazarian is offering classes in metrology, statistics, reliability, engineering and related topics, for domestic and foreign students.

Emil Hazarian is also a Certified Lead ISO 9001 and Lean Six Sigma Assessor, as well as a Lead Quality and Technical Assessor for ISO 17025 accreditation bodies.
